Position: Java Software Engineer for Defence Systems
Become a key player at General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada as a Java Software Engineer. Your mission will be to enhance ISTAR capabilities through advanced software development in military contexts.

In the role with the LC4

ISR ISTAR team, you will design, implement, and verify critical software for the Canadian Army. This position emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team in our Ottawa office, with remote working options. You will directly contribute to national security efforts through innovative technological solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design clean interfaces for software development kits

• Create enterprise-level data sharing solutions

• Develop client applications to present intelligence data

• Enforce coding standards during development

• Conduct unit and integration testing of applications

Requirements:

• Technical Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• Minimum 5 years of Java software development experience

• Strong understanding of Java 2EE and design patterns

• Proficient with Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Demonstrable debugging skills in complex systems
