Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Ruby on Rails Software Engineer to help create engaging learning experiences for our web app and a soon-to-be-announced project. Leveraging your expertise in AI-enabled engineering, you will champion all development work from concept stage through to feature completion. You’ll gain a deep understanding of Create Academy’s customers and use this insight to drive technical excellence and communicate that process and thinking to the founders and wider product team.

Rails 8.1 hotwire + Sanity. Mux for video - Flexibility:
You'll work closely with the CTO to evolve the architecture- iPhone app if interested
- 4+ years Ruby on Rails production experience
- Full-stack development
- Postgre
SQL, RESTful APIs, background jobs () - Payment systems (Stripe)
- Team leadership and architectural decision-making
- Bonus - Mux or video, saas
- Lead technical direction and architecture decisions
- Own the entire codebase as the primary developer
- Implement new features while improving existing code
- Work with UX, design and growth teams
- Full technical ownership and autonomy
- Direct impact on product direction

Please note this is a hybrid role that requires 2 days per week in office attendance in London, UK.

Benefits- £55K to £65K starting salary (depending on experience) with a pay review after 6 months
