This is a full-time hybrid role based in Cape Town, with flexibility for partial work-from-home arrangements. The Development Manager will oversee the software development teams, manage product timelines with the product manager, and ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient solutions. Responsibilities include leading development efforts, mentoring team members, planning and executing technical projects, collaborating with stakeholders, and continuously optimising development processes aligned with business goals.

• Technical proficiency in software development, including experience with programming languages, frameworks, and development tools
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding developers
• Project management experience, including planning, execution, and adherence to timelines
• Knowledge of cloud computing, Dev Ops principles, and platform optimisation (experience with Fin Ops is a plus)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on delivering scalable, high-quality solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Relevant certifications in cloud technologies, project management, or software development are beneficial
