About the TeamChallenging work with real impact, a team that cares deeply about the code shipped, and a product that real people use when planning their next trip. Build the next generation of the travel portal: from planning a trip to booking.
Responsibilities- Work as part of a dynamic team throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Act as a tech lead owning technical design for cross‑functional, fault‑tolerant application systems.
- Continuously improve software engineering developer experience; identify gaps in existing internal framework and tools and contribute.
- Establish engineering best practices and standards, such as code review standards.
- Provide technical expertise and problem solving; define technical standards and provide technical support to ensure best practices are consistently met.
- Exercise architecture ownership—apply strong understanding of evolving technology, follow High Level Design (HLD) methodology and contribute to HLD.
- Provide mentorship to junior and intermediate associates through engineering best practices and standards.
- At least 6 years of hands‑on development experience, preferably using Java, Python, Go or other object‑oriented programming languages.
- At least 6 years of experience with application and/or data design, architecture and development.
- Experience with AWS (highly preferred) or other cloud products (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience providing mentorship to junior/intermediate associates and guiding technical and business stakeholders.
- 8+ years of experience leading the full life‑cycle of software development.
- Bachelor's, Master’s or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
- Experience working in an agile environment and familiar with agile development methodologies.
- Experience working at Capital One.
- Hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office.

Compensation: Expected annual salary range $157,400 - $179,600. Eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation.
