Remote Perl Developer

As a Perl Developer you'll be responsible for writing and maintaining Perl code, troubleshooting issues in production systems, and developing new functionality. You'll also support system integrations and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure technical delivery aligns with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write, maintain, and enhance Perl-based web and backend applications.
• Support business-critical legacy systems and progressively contribute to modernisation plans.
• Develop new features and integrations with third-party platforms or internal tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs and performance issues.
• Collaborate with web designers, software developers, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring quality and maintainability.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for internal systems and APIs.
• Contribute to deployment processes and version control using Git and/or Azure Dev Ops.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience with LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl)
• Proficient in Perl development and maintaining legacy systems
• Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs

This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a starting salary of circa £65,000 and a remote working model.
