As a member of the Data Platform team, you will construct and maintain high-scale data ingestion systems and work with foundational technologies such as Delta Lake. Candidates should possess extensive software engineering experience and a deep understanding of distributed systems and data lakes. This role will allow you to impact company-wide initiatives in analytics and AI while collaborating with various teams at Samsara.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build reliable data ingestion systems from RDS and DynamoDB
• Maintain high-performance data platform infrastructure
• Enhance Spark and Databricks processing environments
• Develop internal tools and APIs using Go or Python
• Work collaboratively to meet platform needs
Requirements:
• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficient in building production data infrastructures
• Strong knowledge of Apache Spark and similar technologies
• Hands-on experience with AWS components
• Familiarity with key programming languages including Go and Python
