About Granstudio
Granstudio is a multidisciplinary design studio working across mobility, product and experience design. We combine creativity, strategy and engineering to transform bold ideas into meaningful, real-world solutions.
Our teams work at the intersection of design, visualization, engineering and emerging technologies, developing innovative experiences that connect digital and physical worlds. Through our proprietary Digiphy ecosystem, we explore new ways of interacting with products, environments and data using real-time 3D and extended reality technologies.
Overview
We are looking for a 3D Developer with strong experience in Unreal Engine and optional knowledge of VRED or Blender.
The role focuses on developing custom tools, plugins and integrations that enhance 3D workflows and connect these applications with our proprietary Digiphy ecosystem—a real-time mixed-reality framework that bridges digital and physical experiences.
The position involves cross-platform 3D development and XR prototyping using OpenXR, with support for devices such as Meta Quest 3, Varjo XR-4 and Apple Vision Pro.
The role is primarily based on-site at our headquarters in Via Giovanni Pacini 53, Turin. Presence on-site is required most of the time to collaborate directly with the Digiphy development and visualization teams.
Occasional remote work may be possible when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
Develop custom tools, nodes and plugins in Unreal Engine (C++ and Blueprints)
Create and maintain VRED Python/C++ extensions for automation and workflow optimization
Extend Blender with scripts and add-ons to improve data preparation and asset handling
Integrate Unreal Engine, VRED and Blender with the Digiphy ecosystem through APIs (REST, Web Socket or gRPC)
Prototype and validate XR experiences using OpenXR, ensuring compatibility across devices
Collaborate with designers and engineers to identify needs and transform them into functional tools
Document developed tools and provide technical guidance for internal users
Skills & Qualifications
Must Have
Strong experience with Unreal Engine (C++, Blueprints, Editor scripting)
Solid understanding of 3D data structures, materials and real-time rendering
Familiarity with API-based communication (REST, CRUD, Web Socket or gRPC)
Strong curiosity and adaptability to learn new technologies quickly
Nice to Have
Proficiency with VRED Python API for scripting and automation
Good understanding of Blender scripting (Python) and scene management
Experience developing for XR devices (Meta Quest 3, Varjo XR-4, Apple Vision Pro)
Knowledge of OpenXR and real-time spatial interaction workflows
Experience with tool integration across multiple 3D platforms
Personal Traits
Analytical and detail-oriented mindset
Curiosity and creativity in combining 3D and XR technologies
Methodical approach and ability to manage multi-tool development environments
Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and creative roles
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation package: €26000–€36000 gross per year, depending on experience and qualifications
€7 daily meal vouchers via Satispay
Full-time position
Permanent, apprenticeship or fixed-term contract, depending on experience, qualifications and career stage
Employment regulated under CCNL Commercio
On-site role based at our headquarters in Via Giovanni Pacini 53, Turin. Presence on-site is required most of the time to collaborate directly with the Digiphy development and visualization teams. Occasional remote work may be possible when appropriate
Training and professional development initiatives
Opportunity to work in a dynamic, international and multidisciplinary environment
Respectful and trust-based workplace culture
