McAfee is inviting applications for an experienced C++ Software Engineer to join the Windows Antimalware Team. Located in Waterloo or Toronto, this hybrid position combines onsite collaboration with remote work flexibility.

Your role will involve designing sophisticated security software and using advanced debugging techniques to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop user mode software for Windows operating systems

• Enhance threat protection features through design and architecture

• Analyze and resolve technical issues using telemetry and logs

• Participate in software lifecycle processes from design to validation

• Support and mentor emerging engineers in high-quality practices

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of C++ software development experience

• Strong skills in multithreading, IPC, and system programming

• Proficient in visual debugging tools such as WinDBG

• Experience with Windows system APIs and diagnostics

• Familiarity with AI tools in software engineering
