About the Team
The team is a group of generalist software engineers with a focus on C++ who collaborate to democratize the creation and extension of computations in the Maestro platform. We work across the software development lifecycle, from development through build to testing and test automation.

Location
Hybrid:
In Ottawa, team members must be in the office at least three days a week. Remote work is available for other locations in Canada.

Term Duration
Full‑time co‑op or internship for 8 or 12 months, starting September 2026.

Co‑op / Intern Eligibility
Open to current full‑time students or recent/upcoming graduates within 12 months of placement end date.

Compensation Range
$24.15 – $35.42 hourly, based on skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

Use a variety of modern technologies across the software development lifecycle, from development through build to testing and test automation.

Develop high‑quality, well‑crafted code that delivers value to customers.

Test work of other team members and develop automated tests.

Collaborate with developers and testers on your team and across other teams.

Support special projects as needed.

What we are looking for

3rd‑year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent program.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Passion for writing well‑crafted, maintainable, robust, unit‑test‑covered code.

Experience with data structures, algorithms, multi‑threading, and core software concepts.

Ability to quickly grasp technical ideas.

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to processes.

Things that would definitely help

Prior development experience with C++.

Practical knowledge of C++ STL containers.

Experience with Java, C#, or Type Script.

Experience with network programming.

Understanding of cloud platforms and Kubernetes.
