Data Platform Engineer

Position: Data Platform Engineer Hybrid Role
Transform data processing as a Data Platform Engineer in the Toronto office. This hybrid position demands expertise in platforms like Spark, Flink, and Kinesis for ingesting massive datasets.

The role focuses on joining the Data Infrastructure teams tackling complex problems. Engineers here are responsible for their platform components from design through production. Your contributions will help build robust systems that process billions of events per day and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Spark workloads in an EKS-based environment

• Develop and maintain Rust services for data ingestion

• Create Terraform modules for provisioning environments

• Oversee MemoryDB features for machine learning tasks

• Implement change data capture workflows with monitoring

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years in building data platform infrastructure

• Experience with Kubernetes and IaC tools

• Proven AWS skills including multi-account IAM

• Track record of owning platform components

• Strong programming skills in Rust, JVM, or Python
