About the role
The successful candidate will contribute to our key projects as a member of the team responsible for the integration and testing of vectored products:
- Support functional verification testing of combat system software.
- Take responsibility for subsystem integration verification testing of combat system software.
- Support regression testing of combat system software.
This work requires the candidate to perform manual and automated testing in an Agile development environment. The candidate must rely on both skills and experience, including computer programming, problem solving, effective communication and analysis. You will work in a Linux environment and use several programming languages, including Python, BASH, Java and C++. Knowledge of combat management system and mission system software is considered an asset.
As a member of an Agile team, your primary tasks will include:
- Developing, executing and maintaining functional tests to verify user stories and software requirements.
- Developing, executing and maintaining automated tests as part of continuous regression testing.
- Documenting test results in the Agile project management system and the test management system.
- Identifying, assessing, documenting and retesting defects to contribute to overall quality improvement.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
- 0 to 2 years of professional experience.
- Willingness to work the team's schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Ability to solve difficult problems within a team.
- A high degree of initiative and autonomy.
- Ability to obtain a NATO Secret level security clearance.
- Strong knowledge of software development and testing.
- Strong knowledge of test automation.
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Good working knowledge of Linux.
- Good knowledge of BASH and Python.
- Good knowledge of Java and C++.
- Good knowledge of Subversion or Git.
- Experience with DOORS is considered an asset.
- Experience with networks and networking tools is considered an asset.
- Experience with Agile Scrum is considered an asset.
- A valid NATO Secret security clearance is considered an asset.
- ISTQB CTFL/CTFL-AT certification is considered an asset.
