You will be part of a mobile engineering team responsible for developing and enhancing Barclays' native Android applications. Working alongside Architects, UI/UX Designers and Product teams, you will deliver secure, scalable and high-quality mobile banking solutions.

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role
  • Design, develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Deliver end‑to‑end mobile solutions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams across design, architecture and engineering.
  • Contribute to Android architecture, technical roadmaps and adoption of engineering best practices.
  • Produce high‑quality, well‑tested code and support CI/CD and Agile delivery processes.
Your Skills
  • Strong hands‑on experience in native Android development using Kotlin, Java and Android Studio.
  • Experience with Android SDKs, Jetpack libraries, REST APIs, Git, unit testing and modern architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture).
  • Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum teams and applying modern engineering practices such as TDD, BDD and code reviews.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Gradle, Jenkins or similar) and the ability to contribute to enterprise‑scale mobile solutions.
