Position: Backend Engineer for AI Integration
Take the next step in your career as a Backend Engineer with Git Lab, focusing on AI integration within the Agent Observability team. You'll play a crucial role in designing and building systems that enhance AI interactions throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

This role is aimed at backend engineers with experience in AI tooling and strong programming skills. You will work closely with other engineers in AI and product management to create and refine features that have a direct impact on Git Lab's AI strategy. Expect to contribute to high-visibility projects that push the boundaries of what's possible with AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain features for AI Agent interactions

• Collaborate on requirements with UX and AI experts

• Design robust REST and GraphQL APIs

• Improve automated testing frameworks for code quality

• Support production issues in Tier 2 on-call rotations

Requirements:

• Comfortable in a mature codebase

• Experience with Python and relational databases

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails applications

• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
