Product Manager - Connect, Universal

Product Manager (API):
Taking a lead on Clear Score's Universal API platform to power how data, capabilities and intelligence are shared beyond consumer apps. Focus on defining technical foundations and shipping a best-in-class developer experience.

Location:

Minimum 2-3 days per week in-office in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

Clear Score is on a mission to make the world of personal finance clearer, calmer, and easier to understand.

• Ship and run a unified API Gateway.
• Define API standards for the Clear Score group.
• Onboard the Clear Score group onto the new API stack.
• Enable commercial opportunities with the Upstream product team and commercial stakeholders.
• Own the external developer experience via the developer portal, documentation, and sandboxes.

• Experience as a Product Manager working with API platforms, developer tools, or experience as a Software Engineer in these domains.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Experience shaping discovery with non-technical partners.
• Experience setting direction, objectives, and a roadmap for the team.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly when aligning cross-functional teams.
• Confident decision-maker who can prioritise, iterate, and make progress in incomplete information environments.

• Experience in regulated or financial services is helpful but not necessarily required.
