R&D Embedded Software Engineer

Join our R&D department, where exciting and technically complex products are waiting for you. With your experience in software development for embedded systems and IoT, you will actively drive our development projects forward in an agile organized development environment.

• Manage work packages and sub-projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate in product definition and prototype development using agile methodologies such as Design Thinking and User-Centered Design.
• Design, implement, test, and debug embedded systems and IoT devices, preparing them for series production with EDA tools, software configuration management, and defect tracking.
• Execute, analyze, and document engineering tests, providing feedback for product optimization.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management processes, following industry standards.
• Support design transfer and product modifications by working with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in innovation processes, evaluating new technologies and proposing ideas.

Baar, Switzerland – hybrid role with three in‑office days each week.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience, ideally in the medical or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience in hardware/firmware development for embedded microcontrollers, sensors, and IoT protocols.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with development environments such as MS Visual Studio and IAR.
• Understanding of embedded systems design, real‑time operating systems, IoT protocols, and control systems.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
• Strong accountability and transparency, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
