Elevate your engineering expertise with Grafana as a Staff Backend Engineer in our Application Core Services team. This fully remote position is integral to ensuring our systems operate seamlessly across various cloud platforms.
Join Grafana's dedicated Application Core Services team and make an impact by improving operational clarity and system correctness. As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will address complex challenges involving service integrations and stack configurations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role emphasizes building processes that allow us to scale efficiently and serve both internal and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design systems for stack creation and configuration management
• Collaborate across teams to enhance stack lifecycle reliability
• Optimize deployment practices for improved service observability
• Manage plugin and configuration rollouts effectively
• Respond to incidents and develop recovery plans for stack issues
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of remote work experience
• Proficient in Golang and backend software engineering
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and cloud platforms
• Familiarity with configuration tools like Helm and Jsonnet
• Experience mentoring junior staff in an asynchronous environment
Contribute to the success of Grafana Cloud by building intuitive, efficient software solutions.
