About the roleAs a Software Engineering Co‑op at Aquatic Informatics, you will become an integral member of our engineering team. Working in an Agile scrum team, you will be exposed to the breadth of software development activities, including user story definition, design, implementation, unit testing, feature and regression testing, and investigating and debugging tests and customer‑reported issues. While working on these issues, you will have a chance to understand the various challenges water industries face across the globe and be able to contribute to solving some of these issues.
This position is part of the AQUARIUS software development team located in Vancouver, BC and will be either hybrid or fully remote based on your location.
- Participate in the full development cycle of features including design, requirements gathering, implementation and testing
- Contribute to investigating and debugging customer‑reported issues
- Work in a scrum agile environment and participate in regular sprint meetings
- Gain exposure to how software applications are built and deployed to many customers across the world
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited post‑secondary institution
- Must be at least in their 3rd or 4th year at the post‑secondary institution
- Must have experience with at least one object‑oriented language
- Must have completed one or more previous co‑op terms
- Be passionate about full‑stack engineering and constantly seeking new ways to do things
AQI's reasonable expectation of pay at the time of this posting is between $5,000 and $5,400 CAD per month. This is a temporary position intended for a CO‑OP student enrolled in a post‑secondary institution, preferably in computer science or a directly related field of study.
