Software Engineer- Temp

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Air Traffic Management (ATM) team, contributing to the development of safety‑critical distributed systems used in operational air traffic control environments.

This role combines high‑performance software engineering with the intensive use of AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot, Git Hub Copilot), enabling increased productivity, code quality, and automation across the software lifecycle.

• Design and develop software based on system and subsystem requirements
• Ensure traceability between requirements, implementation, and testing
• Perform development and integration activities, testing and validation
• Manage and resolve software anomalies and defects
• Apply AI‑assisted tools to improve development productivity, code quality and maintainability, and automation across the lifecycle

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, or similar)
• 2+ years of experience in software development
• High level of English (written and spoken)
• Spanish speaker

• Strong experience in C / C++ and/or ADA
• Experience with Python scripting is a plus
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Familiarity with version control (Git / Clear Case), issue tracking (JIRA), requirements management (DOORS)
• Understanding of end‑to‑end software lifecycle (design, coding, testing, integration)

• Experience or strong interest in using AI‑powered development tools, such as Microsoft 365 Copilot for documentation, analysis, automation
• Ability to leverage AI for:
  • Code generation and optimization
  • Test case generation and automation
  • Requirements analysis support
  • Code review assistance and quality improvement
  • Validation of AI‑generated outputs (critical in safety environments)
• Mindset oriented to augmenting engineering productivity with AI while ensuring safety, traceability, and compliance

• Experience in aeronautical or ATM systems is highly valued
• Experience in safety‑critical, real‑time, or distributed systems is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work in complex distributed systems
• High attention to detail and quality (especially in safety‑critical environments)
• Proactive mindset towards innovation and AI adoption
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
