Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in SRE to bolster the reliability of our cloud databases powered by Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Pyroscope. This position entails deep collaboration with product engineering teams to optimize production environments and enhance automation processes. The role involves defining SLOs, overseeing incident responses, and implementing scalable solutions for complex customer ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner closely with product engineering squads on projects
• Own production reliability for complex customer environments
• Design automation to scale reliability practices
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews
• Improve alert quality and reduce noisy escalations
Requirements:
• 6+ years of engineering experience; 3+ in SRE/CRE
• Strong Kubernetes experience in cloud platforms
• Proficiency in programming languages like Go or Python
• Experience with incident response and high-quality PIRs
• Comfortable in an autonomous engineering team
