Lead backend innovation with Affirm as a Staff Software Engineer. This remote position in Canada focuses on developing scalable backend systems for an evolving marketplace experience.
At Affirm, you'll define technical strategies and collaborate across teams to enhance the consumer shopping experience.
Your role will impact business-critical projects from their inception through to delivery. You will ensure systems are sustainable and available while mentoring team members in coding standards and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set technical strategy for a year-long roadmap

Requirements:
• 8+ years in backend systems using Python or Kotlin
• Experience with AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes
