Position: Backend Software Engineer - Hybrid Role

You will be part of an established engineering team near Montreal, working on a large-scale production platform. This contract position emphasizes hands-on backend development using Java and Python, where you will be responsible for every aspect of the service lifecycle. Collaborate closely with product and technical account managers to ensure your work meets enterprise customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, deploy, and monitor backend services

• Implement new features guided by enterprise requirements

• Integrate core systems with modern services

• Manage cloud-native deployments on AWS

• Support production monitoring and rapid issue resolution

Requirements:

• 3+ years of backend development experience

• Proficient in Java and Python

• Experience with MySQL or RDBMS

• Hands-on AWS experience required

• Familiar with Datadog or observability tools
