Senior Software Developer Remote at Really Great Reading

Make a difference in literacy with Really Great Reading as a Senior Software Developer. You'll contribute to our mission through continuous development of our current application in a fully remote setting.
As a key member of our agile team, you'll take ownership of building and maintaining features using Django/Python and React/Type Script. You'll collaborate closely with the Tech Lead and assist with incident resolution, ensuring high performance and security for our application. This role is ideal for someone with significant experience who thrives on responsibility and structured communication in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize existing features on the stack

• Ensure application performance and security during platform transition

• Participate in peer code reviews for quality assurance

• Document legacy systems and workflows for knowledge sharing

• Contribute high-quality code to new platform initiatives
Requirements:

• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience

• Strong skills in Python, Django, React, and Type Script

• Experience with PostgreSQL and REST APIs

• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines

• Excellent written communication in a remote work setting
