About the Client & OpportunityOur client is an industry-leading SaaS business providing critical safeguarding and health software across the UK education sector. Operating a modern stack (React, Type Script, Node.js, AWS, MongoDB), they are launching a new product innovation initiative designed to turn operational insights into user-facing, value-add features.
They are seeking a seasoned, product-minded Full-Stack Engineer who thrives on autonomy and taking full ownership of feature life cycles. You won't just write code—you will bring ideas from early inception to production-ready releases, aligning with internal engineering standards, driving customer value, and measuring real business impact.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-End Product Delivery:
Own the entire development lifecycle, taking feature concepts from inception to production and shipping them directly into users' hands. - Production Readiness & Alignment:
Ensure new product features are fully production-ready, well-tested, and aligned with internal process guardrails. - Impact & Iteration:
Validate ideas in front of customers, monitor real-world performance metrics (e.g., user adoption, revenue impact), and decide whether to scale, pivot, or kill concepts. - Rapid Prototyping:
Leverage modern AI tools to quickly prototype, test hypotheses, and iterate based on live user feedback. - Data & AI Experiences:
Integrate analytics, summaries, and automated reporting into intuitive customer workflows. - 5+ Years of Full-Lifecycle Delivery:
Demonstrable track record of delivering user-facing products out into the wild from inception to production across multiple projects. - Full-Stack Proficiency:
Commercial experience across JS/TS front ends (React) and backends/APIs (Node.js/Type Script). - Proven Commercial Impact:
Able to demonstrate business metrics or tangible outcomes from shipped features (e.g., revenue growth, efficiency gains, or key user metrics). - Pragmatic Product Mindset:
Strong instinct for user experience, knowing when a feature is ready for customers, and learning from experiments that didn't work. - Modern Tooling & Cloud:
Hands-on experience using AI tools for prototyping, paired with practical database (MongoDB/SQL) and cloud deployment (AWS) skills. - Industry background in EdTech, Health Tech, or regulated data environments.
- Experience running your own venture or founding-engineer experience, with a track record of returning to/thriving in permanent team roles.
- Exposure to building data- or AI-driven capabilities (e.g., LLM summarisation, natural-language reporting).
- Data visualisation tools and experience working alongside analytics/data warehouse platforms.
- Competitive salary (~£75,000).
- 100% UK remote work setup.
- High level of autonomy with direct influence over product direction.
- Collaborative, experiment-led culture.
- Pension contribution, flexible working hours, and career development budget.
