To support growing client demands and an expanding product range, Parallel is looking to grow its software engineering team and take the business to the next level.

The Software Engineer will work alongside the Head of Software and the wider development team to deliver a series of software and data projects, to help modernise existing technology platforms and develop new products for new markets.

We are seeking a full stack Software Engineer to play an integral part in the technical delivery of the company’s products. The successful candidate will have relevant commercial development experience, have great attention to detail and be a team player.

• Design, build, and integrate AI-powered features into our products, including LLM integrations, retrieval pipelines, and agentic workflows.
• Build responsive, accessible, user-friendly interfaces using Vue 3 with Type Script, integrating with backend APIs and modern frontend tooling.
• Use AI coding agents and developer tooling effectively to accelerate delivery, while maintaining a high bar for code quality, review, and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
• Develop backend services and APIs using .NET (C#), ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Integrate front-end and back-end components using RESTful APIs and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue with Type Script).
• Model and manage data across MS SQL, Postgres.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for both front-end and back-end components to ensure code quality.
• Participate in Agile development practices including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure adherence to data protection, security standards, and confidentiality requirements in all development activities.

• A minimum of 2 years’ commercial experience in full stack software development.
• Hands-on experience building and running applications on Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Practical experience using AI coding agents and assistants (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Git Hub Copilot) as part of day-to-day development.
• Solid grounding in software engineering fundamentals: OO design, clean code, version control with Git, and code review
• Solid experience building backend services with .NET.
• Strong front-end development skills with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Vue typescript, Angular, React).
• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g. MS SQL, Postgres SQL) and exposure to No
