The Opportunity

We're seeking a Dev Ops & Python Engineer to join a programme delivering modern cloud-based services supporting immigration and border management systems.

This role is ideal for someone with strong Python development, AWS, and Kubernetes experience who enjoys building automation, developing cloud-native solutions, and improving platform services within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop automation tools, APIs, and platform services using Python and Go.
Automate infrastructure and cloud resource management within AWS.
Support and enhance Kubernetes-based platforms and deployments.
Integrate enterprise tooling including LDAP, Hashi Corp Vault, JIRA, and Confluence.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure high standards of testing, code quality, and security.
Work closely with platform, development, and operations teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Essential Skills

Strong commercial experience with Python development.

Experience with Go (Golang).
AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, and Cloud Watch.
Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
Hashi Corp Vault, LDAP/Active Directory integration.
Git, Git Hub Actions and/or Git Lab CI.
Automated testing using Pytest and Go testing frameworks.
Strong understanding of Dev Ops, automation, and CI/CD practices.
