Entry Full Stack Developer; Java & Angular Gauteng​/Hybrid - Isb

Our Client is seeking an Entry-Level Full Stack Developer to join the core Software Engineering team within their global IT Hub, driving the "Quality Management Comprehensive" (QMC) product portfolio.

QMC underpins the global quality management systems and central quality assurance processes across enterprise manufacturing and corporate operations.

In this role, you will work under direct supervision to assist in developing and maintaining JavaEE backend services and Angular frontends while supporting CI/CD automation, cloud environments, and application monitoring.

This role is tailor-made for an enthusiastic Junior Developer or Graduate Software Engineer who wants to build well-rounded full stack and Dev Ops capabilities inside a global enterprise landscape.

It is an ideal fit for an early-career engineer eager to work across Java, Angular, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines under the structured mentorship of seasoned software engineers.

• Full Stack Development Basics: Working knowledge of JavaEE, Java application servers (Quarkus, Glass Fish), PL/SQL, Type Script, and Angular/JSF frontend frameworks.
• CI/CD & Dev Ops Foundations: Familiarity with build tools and version control (Maven, Git, Git Hub Actions, Sonar Qube) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Monitoring & Operational Support: Exposure to application monitoring (Grafana, Dynatrace, App Dynamics) and log management stacks (ELK, Splunk, Nagios).

• IT Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Foundational experience developing Java and Angular applications (academic, practical projects, or junior experience).
• Exposure to Dev Ops, monitoring implementation, or reliability engineering practices.

• Languages & Frameworks: JavaEE, Type Script, PL/SQL, Angular, JSF, and Quarkus/Glass Fish app servers.
• Operating Systems & Web Servers: Linux OS, CRON jobs, Unix file systems, Apache, and Nginx.
• Databases & Security: Oracle, PostgreSQL, management of keys, secrets, certificates, and AST security practices.
• Dev Ops & Containers: Git, Maven, Git Hub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS/Azure cloud fundamentals.
• Observability: App Dynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, and Nagios.

• Infrastructure as Code knowledge (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation).
• Job scheduling tools (Control-M, AWS Batch, Informatica ETL).
• IT Service Management tools (Service Now, BMC Remedy).

• Application Development: Assist in coding, testing, and maintaining full stack features across JavaEE services and Angular user interfaces.
• Build & Deployment Pipelines: Help build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, container registries, and test environments.
• Infrastructure & Patch Automation: Support automated patch management, tool setups, and configuration across on-premise and cloud servers.
• Monitoring & Metrics: Develop scripts and dashboards in Grafana/Dynatrace to visualize availability, reliability, and process metrics.
• L2/L3 Operational Support: Assist with Tier-2/Tier-3 incident troubleshooting to ensure system availability for critical quality applications.

Applicants based outside of Gauteng must be willing to relocate to Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn. Please note that relocation to the province will be at the candidate's own cost.
