About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with a strong proficiency in Python to join their fully remote engineering team. This position is essential for building and scaling the sophisticated backend systems that power our client's innovative platforms. You will work on complex challenges, designing and implementing efficient, reliable, and secure server-side applications. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable backend services and APIs using Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
- Optimize application performance, database interactions, and system architecture for high availability and throughput.
- Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.
- Implement and manage database solutions (SQL and No
SQL), ensuring data integrity and performance. - Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a primary focus on Python.
- Deep understanding of Python web frameworks and their ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or No
SQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis). - Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies is a plus.
