Senior Frontend Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and creative Senior Frontend Engineer to join their innovative product development team in Pretoria . You will be responsible for building intuitive, responsive, and engaging user interfaces for their flagship web applications. This role demands a deep understanding of modern frontend technologies, a keen eye for design, and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

You will work closely with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and product managers to translate concepts into polished, user-friendly interfaces that delight customers.

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
• Optimize frontend performance for maximum speed and scalability across various devices and browsers.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and participate actively in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues, ensuring a seamless and error-free user experience.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and best practices, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend web development.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with experience with modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex) and build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
