Automotive Diagnostics & Feature Configuration Software Engineer

Salary: £52,000 - 62,400 per year

• We are seeking 5–10 years of experience in automotive diagnostics, feature configuration, and ISO 14229 (UDS).
• We need proficiency in Embedded C/C++, QNX, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• We need hands‑on experience with Trace
  32, CANape, Vector tools, JIRA, and Git.
• We need strong debugging and code‑level root cause analysis skills, including Fishbone and 8D methods.
• We need knowledge of configuration management and the software lifecycle.
• We need excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience in automotive diagnostics and feature configuration is preferred.

• We will develop, configure, integrate, and validate automotive diagnostics and feature configuration software.
• We will perform issue triage, debugging, vehicle testing, and software integration.
• We will support diagnostic configuration, functionality, and SIMS triage.
• We will investigate software defects, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
• We will author and review software requirements using structured methods such as EARS.
• We will collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies.
• We will maintain software configuration and change management processes.
• We will support verification, validation, and release activities.
