Your Role

Amber Labs is looking for a skilled Frontend Developer with strong React.

JS expertise to join our engineering team on a confidential government transformation programme. You’ll be building secure, scalable web applications across the frontend, touching on some NodeJS too, contributing to mission-critical digital services used across the UK public sector.

What You’ll Do

As a Frontend Developer, you'll design & develop modern, responsive web applications using ReactJS and Type Script/JavaScript- working in a cross functional agile delivery team within the UK public sector.

Responsibilities

 * ⁠Translate designs and user requirements into production-quality software.

 * ⁠Build reusable, maintainable components and frontend services.

 * ⁠Integrate frontend applications with REST/GraphQL APIs and backend services.

* Deploy and manage services in AWS (ECS, Cognito, SQS).

* Exposure to containerisation using Docker/Kubernetes.

* Collaborate across Dev Ops, design, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

* Maintain code quality through Git Lab CI/CD and peer reviews.

Your Skills and Experience

* Proven experience in Frontend development with React.js

* Strong understanding of HTML/CSS/Vanilla JS fundamentals.

* Experience with other frontend frameworks (Next, Vue, etc.)

* Familiarity with CI/CD best practises.

* Be comfortable with backend API's, databases and Dev Ops workflows/CI/CD.

* Proficiency in AWS services and cloud-native deployments.

* Comfortable working in agile, collaborative environments.
