Position: Machine Learning Engineer at Affirm
Join Affirm in building advanced ML systems as a Machine Learning Engineer II. Focus on underwriting models, risk evaluation, and feature pipeline development in a remote work environment.

In this role on the Underwriting ML team, you will develop and enhance predictive models using diverse approaches for tabular and sequential data. Collaborate closely with seasoned ML engineers and cross-functional teams to bring ideas from prototype to production while ensuring system reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop underwriting prediction models for various data types

• Build feature pipelines and training datasets effectively

• Prototype model ideas and drive production-ready solutions

• Integrate models into real-time decision systems for better outcomes

• Monitor and ensure health of models and data

Requirements:

• 2+ years as a machine learning engineer or PhD in relevant field

• Strong Python programming skills

• Experience with machine learning frameworks like Py Torch

• Familiarity with distributed data processing tools

• Effective communication skills for collaboration
