ServiceNow Developer

Location: Hybrid (UK – office, client site and home-based working)
Salary: Up to £85,000 + Excellent Benefits

We're looking for an experienced Service Now Developer to join a high-performing technology team delivering secure, enterprise-scale Service Now solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to work on business-critical programmes, developing innovative solutions that enhance user experience, automate business processes and drive digital transformation.

You’ll work closely with technical teams, architects and stakeholders to design, build and optimise Service Now applications, with a particular focus on workflow automation, integrations and Virtual Agent capabilities.

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Hold active SC (Security Check) clearance.
• Be a sole UK national.

As a Service Now Developer, you will:

• Design, develop and enhance Service Now applications and platform capabilities.
• Build and customise workflows, catalog items, business rules, client scripts and integrations.
• Develop and implement Service Now Virtual Agent solutions to improve user engagement and self-service.
• Integrate Service Now with third-party systems and automation platforms.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.
• Optimise platform performance, troubleshoot issues and implement best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Service Now platform.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and ensure solutions align with platform standards and governance.

You’ll have strong technical expertise and experience including:

• Proven experience developing and customising the Service Now platform.
• Strong knowledge of Service Now workflows, scripting, integrations and platform administration.
• Experience with Service Now Virtual Agent and/or Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
• Experience integrating Service Now with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Understanding of ITSM processes and Service Now best practices.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
