About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Games Tester to join their fully remote team, contributing to the quality assurance of exciting new gaming titles. This role is crucial in identifying bugs, usability issues, and performance problems before release. You will work closely with developers and designers to provide detailed feedback, ensuring an exceptional player experience across various platforms. As a remote team member, you'll enjoy the flexibility of working from home while collaborating actively with colleagues across different time zones, playing a pivotal role in shaping the final product.
Key Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for video games across multiple platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).
- Provide clear, concise, and detailed reports on game functionality, performance, and user experience to the development team.
- Perform regression testing to ensure bug fixes do not introduce new issues.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to understand game mechanics and features, offering constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies within the team.
- Proven experience as a Games Tester or in a similar quality assurance role within the gaming industry.
- Strong understanding of game design principles and common testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools and test management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in English.
