Take the lead as a UI Platform Engineer at Git Hub, working remotely from Canada. Focus on performance and accessibility to enhance Git Hub's web platform for millions.
In this pivotal role, you will join Git Hub’s Core UX organization, responsible for guiding the architecture and tooling for frontend systems. You'll collaborate closely with Principal Engineers and team leaders to ensure seamless integration of performance improvements and establish widespread standards. Your leadership will have a measurable impact across various engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define the technical direction of the frontend UI platform
• Spearhead initiatives that enhance performance and availability
• Develop standards and paving paths for multiple teams
• Produce comprehensive design proposals and gather input
• Mentor and elevate engineering standards through collaboration
Requirements:
• 9+ years in software engineering or equivalent experience
• Proven background in modern coding languages essential for production
• In-depth knowledge of React or Angular and their internals
• Demonstrated success in leading frontend migrations
• Clear understanding of web performance standards
Build a strong frontend foundation for Git Hub and collaborate with teams to propel innovation and accessibility.
