About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly experienced and innovative Lead Software Engineer to spearhead the development of cutting-edge construction technology solutions. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will lead a team of talented engineers, guiding the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable software platforms that enhance efficiency and safety within the construction industry.
This role requires a strong technical leader with a passion for building high-performance, reliable software and a vision for the future of construction technology.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, robust software applications for the construction sector.
- Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Define and implement software architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Drive best practices in coding, testing, and deployment (CI/CD).
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define product roadmaps and features.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve the development process and product offerings.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior engineering role .
- Strong proficiency in backend languages (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js) and modern frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
- Proven track record of designing and building complex, scalable software systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
