Senior Software Developer - Telecom Platforms

Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior Software Developer to join their pioneering team, working entirely remotely. This role focuses on developing and enhancing sophisticated software platforms for the telecommunications sector. You will play a key role in designing, coding, and testing scalable applications that are central to our client's service delivery and innovation. Working from anywhere in South Africa , you will contribute to building robust, high-performance systems that are critical to the telecoms industry , collaborating with a distributed team of talented professionals.

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable backend services and APIs for telecom applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to define software requirements and technical specifications.
• Optimize application performance and ensure the reliability and availability of deployed systems.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members and upholding coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects and production issues.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language relevant to scalable applications (e.g., Java, Python, Go).
• Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
