Remote Automotive Software Architect

Our client is looking for an experienced and visionary Remote Automotive Software Architect to lead the design and technical direction of their advanced automotive software platforms. You will be instrumental in defining the architecture for complex systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security for future vehicle generations. Working entirely remotely, you will collaborate with engineering teams globally, providing technical leadership and strategic guidance.

• Define and document the overall software architecture for automotive systems, including embedded, cloud, and mobile components.
• Establish technical standards, best practices, and development methodologies for the engineering team.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for automotive software development.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineering teams across multiple locations.
• Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust architectural designs.
• Ensure the architectural integrity, performance, and scalability of the software solutions.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a software architect role, preferably within the automotive domain.
• Deep understanding of automotive software architectures, ECUs, operating systems (e.g., AUTOSAR, QNX), and communication protocols.
• Proven experience designing scalable, distributed, and resilient systems.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills for a remote, global team.
