Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people’s lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity.
Using Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).
This intern will be a member of the Platform Directory team within B21, helping tenant administrators quickly understand and repair common directory issues (conflicting identities, disabled users in critical groups, stale memberships, misconfigured SCIM mappings, and more). Working closely with UX and partner engineering teams, the intern will build a lightweight diagnostics panel that surfaces actionable checks and suggested fixes, shifting routine debugging from engineering/support to admin self-service and improving customer satisfaction.
This is an internship role for 7 months of duration. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Engineering.
Responsibility
- Contribute to the design and implementation of a self-service diagnostics panel for org/tenant admins, focusing on clear checks, remediation suggestions, and a safe, auditable experience
- Implement well-scoped directory features with strong attention to quality, including unit, integration, and functional tests alongside feature development
- Use existing metrics, logs, and telemetry to understand system behavior; with guidance from senior engineers, diagnose directory issues across distributed services such as Directory Service, SCIM integrations, and admin UX flows
- Improve observability for directory health signals (e.g., drift between IdP and Docusign, conflicting identities, stale groups) by enhancing metrics, logging, and dashboards
- Interpret product requirements and contribute to technical design docs for diagnostics workflows and directory-related features, applying solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures, APIs, and resource management
- Collaborate closely with Directory, UX, and support partners to ensure diagnostics flows are usable, reliable, and aligned with customer needs
- Communicate progress, blockers, and design decisions clearly in both written and verbal form; participate in sprint rituals, demos, and design reviews, and know when to ask for help or elevate issues appropriately
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)
Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job.
