About the Role
Sonar is seeking a Software Engineer (Java) to join the Platform Team supporting Sonar Qube's on-premises platform
. You will build and enhance critical backend services that enable seamless installation, upgrades, scalable operation, and reliable delivery of Sonar Qube for a global customer base.
This role combines Java backend development, system architecture, databases, performance optimization, automated testing, and CI/CD
. You will collaborate with other development squads, contribute to architectural decisions, troubleshoot complex platform challenges, and help deliver reliable software for developers and organizations worldwide.
- Develop and enhance core backend services for Sonar Qube's on-premises platform.
- Build solutions supporting seamless installation, upgrades, and scalable platform operations.
- Design and implement robust backend solutions using Java, Spring, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch
. - Ensure platform stability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with development squads to guide continuous integration, testing, and packaging.
- Support smooth feature releases for on-premises users.
- Contribute to architectural decisions for the Sonar Qube on-premises platform.
- Balance immediate product needs with long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges involving platform stability, performance, and developer experience.
