As a Lead Software Engineer on the OCPN Cloud Platform Team, you will drive the architecture, technical design, development, delivery, and operationalization of cloud-native, resilient, and secure infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP. You will lead cutting-edge initiatives focused on cloud governance, networking, security, and automation while designing scalable backend services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)  this role, you will champion modern software engineering principles, robust Dev Sec Ops  practices, and AI-powered automation to streamline workflows, strengthen security and compliance, and deliver high-impact cloud capabilities across the enterprise.

You will also promote engineering excellence and best practices, including the responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools.

* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design, architect, and implement multi-cloud infrastructure, networking, and governance frameworks across AWS, Azure, and GCPDevelop and maintain scalable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using Terraform to automate cloud resource provisioning and configuration management

Build enterprise-grade backend microservices and automation tools using Java, Go, or Python Collaborate with enterprise security and compliance teams to integrate cloud guardrails, policy enforcement, and automated security controls into cloud platforms

Lead the adoption of Dev Sec Ops  practices by integrating security scanning, vulnerability management, secrets management, policy enforcement, and compliance validation throughout the software development lifecycle

Establish and mature Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines to support automated, secure, and reliable software delivery

Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions and automation capabilities to address complex engineering and operational challenges, with an emphasis on responsible AI useUse enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline software development workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and drive continuous platform improvement

Evaluate emerging cloud and AI technology trends to inform solution design, technical roadmap development, and strategic innovation

Mentor and guide engineers through technical design reviews, code reviews, architecture discussions, and the adoption of cloud engineering best practices

Required Qualifications:
