Mobile Application Developer

This is a full-time Mobile Application Developer role based in the City of Cape Town, structured as a hybrid position with a mix of on-site and work-from-home days. The Mobile Application Developer will design, build, and maintain mobile applications that integrate with Compose Finance’s stablecoin and fiat transaction infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing new features, optimizing performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to deliver secure and reliable mobile experiences.

The role involves writing clean, testable code, participating in code reviews, and ensuring best practices in mobile security and user experience. The developer will also contribute to technical documentation and support continuous improvement of the mobile development lifecycle.

• Strong skills in Mobile Application Development, including experience building and maintaining Mobile Applications for iOS or cross-platform environments.
• Proficiency in Application Development practices, including software architecture, integration with APIs, and performance optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working in fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, or related domains is an advantage.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices, mobile security, and data protection standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly in English.
