Solutions Architect

Solutions Architect, remote position supporting our client's Reston, VA, office. US Citizenship, no dual citizenship. Background Check, federal drug test, credit inquiry ------------------------ The Solutions Architect serves as the technical owner and architect for one or more software products, bridging business stakeholders and software development teams. This role translates business objectives into technical requirements, develops actionable specifications and architectural designs, and guides delivery teams through implementation.

The ideal candidate has experience designing enterprise level applications and integration solutions on modern cloud platforms, particularly AWS, with proficiency in Type Script and strong system design principles. The role also leverages AI assisted development tools and AI driven development lifecycle practices to improve development efficiency, accelerate delivery, and support continuous product innovation.

Key Responsibilities
• Solution Architecture and Design:
Design and maintain enterprise level applications, software architectures, and integration solutions using AWS and modern development technologies.
• Business and Technical Alignment:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand objectives, translate business needs into technical requirements, and develop clear, actionable specifications.
• Technical Leadership:
Guide software development teams through solution implementation, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, business requirements, and technical objectives.
• Product Ownership:
Serve as the technical product owner for one or more software products, managing the backlog, establishing priorities, and defining technical direction throughout the product lifecycle.
• System Design:
Apply strong system design principles to develop scalable, maintainable, secure, and reliable software solutions.
• AI Assisted Development:
Utilize AI powered development tools, including Claude, Codex, and AWS Kiro, to enhance developer productivity and accelerate software delivery.
• AI Driven Development Practices:
Apply agentic development approaches and AI Driven Development Lifecycle (AIDLC) practices to streamline development workflows and improve delivery outcomes.
• Requirements Decomposition:
Break down complex business requirements into technical specifications, architectural components, and actionable development tasks.
• Issue Resolution:
Independently resolve moderately complex technical and architectural challenges, escalating more complex issues to senior technical leadership as appropriate.

Work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and development personnel to ensure successful delivery of software solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications and Skills
• Experience designing and architecting enterprise level software applications and integration solutions.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud based application architecture.
• Proficiency in Type Script and modern software development practices.
• Strong understanding of system design, application architecture, and software integration principles.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and architectural solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction and guide software development teams.
• Experience with product backlog management, prioritization, and technical product ownership.
• Familiarity with AI assisted development tools, such as Claude, Codex, and AWS Kiro.
• Understanding of agentic development approaches and AI Driven Development Lifecycle (AIDLC) practices.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
