As a Software Engineer specializing in the banking domain, you will take total ownership of the software development lifecycle from architectural design and feature implementation to rigorous integration testing and new release deployments. Your daily responsibilities will involve engineering robust microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot, executing complex enterprise system integrations, and ensuring seamless interoperability across financial platforms.

Operating in a collaborative remote-friendly environment based out of Buffalo, NY, you will work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and enterprise architects to translate complex financial requirements into clean, maintainable, and high-performance code. Furthermore, you will troubleshoot production issues, participate in code reviews, and adhere to industry best practices for secure coding and software delivery.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust enterprise software applications and microservices utilizing Java and Spring Boot.
• Engineer and maintain seamless system integrations, APIs, and data exchanges across complex banking and financial platforms.
• Spearhead new software release development, version upgrades, and feature enhancements from conception to production deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional product, QA, and architecture teams to analyze business requirements and technical specifications.
• Write clean, highly scalable, and well-tested code following enterprise design patterns and secure coding guidelines.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure exceptional software quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex performance bottlenecks, data discrepancies, and integration failures in live environments.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software architectures, API endpoints, and release deployment procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional software development experience in enterprise-grade software engineering environments.
• Mandatory and proven professional experience working within the Banking, Financial Services, or Fintech industry domain.
• Deep technical proficiency and hands‑on expertise in Java programming and the Spring Boot framework.
• Extensive experience designing and executing enterprise software integrations and new feature release cycles.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL querying, and transactional data management in financial systems.
• Familiarity with modern Dev Ops tools, version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization platforms (Docker).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
