Position: Software Engineer / AI Engineer / On-Site Chicago
Charlotte, North Carolina Hybrid Full  Time $170k - $200k
Located in Chicago's River North neighborhood, this company is the fastest-growing energy broker in the United States and the first energy brokerage to build its own software platform for the industry. This full-time AI Engineering opportunity offers the chance to work directly with the Head of AI/ML, building production-grade AI systems, agentic workflows, and intelligent automations that drive real business outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience Strong Python development experience  Experience designing and deploying AI-powered applications  Product-minded approach to software development Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into scalable AI solutions Experience building agentic workflows and autonomous systems  Hands-on experience with Lang Graph or similar orchestration frameworks

Experience with tool calling, prompt chaining, and workflow automation Experience building end-to-end AI systems with orchestration and guardrails Strong understanding of modern LLM architectures and AI deployment patterns Ability to work independently in a high-ownership environment
Desired Skills & Experience
· Experience building multi-agent systems
· Experience with enterprise AI adoption and workflow automation
· Experience developing production-grade AI applications
· Experience with SEO automation, competitive intelligence workflows, or operational automation
