This is a newly created permanent vacancy for a PHP developer to work with an Ipswich-based software business that is currently experiencing an exciting period of growth. The successful candidate will join a small, friendly, and supportive team of developers, primarily working on a remote basis. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the company's unique software offerings, which include a cloud-based data hub interfacing with third-party data sources and applications, as well as an integrated suite of mobile applications.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing new backend and web application functionalities using technologies such as PHP, Laravel, MySQL, MongoDB, and JavaScript. You will play a key part in the ongoing development and refinement of innovative software solutions that support the company's strategic objectives and client needs. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on greenfield projects, contribute to cutting-edge technology, and make a tangible impact from day one.

The ideal candidate will possess proven commercial experience developing with PHP, coupled with a solid understanding of web-based platforms and RESTful web services. A good working knowledge of Laravel framework, MySQL, MongoDB, and JavaScript is essential. You should be self-motivated, quick to learn, and comfortable working in an Agile development environment. Previous experience in cloud-based applications and mobile app integration would be advantageous.

Additionally, familiarity with software development best practices, version control systems, and continuous integration processes will be beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

• Develop and maintain robust backend functionalities and web applications using PHP, Laravel, and related technologies.
