Client: UK Government
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Software Engineer / Dev Ops / Platform Engineer to support a major UK Government client on an exciting technology and data transformation programme.
This is a remote-working opportunity, suited to an engineer with strong Python development skills and experience working across cloud infrastructure, Dev Ops, data processing and modern platform technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain scalable applications and platform services using Python.
- Build and optimise data processing pipelines, integrating technologies such as Elasticsearch and Numaflow.
- Develop, deploy and support cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Support the development of reliable, secure and scalable infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and optimise applications, integrations and platform performance.
- Collaborate with software engineering, data and infrastructure teams to deliver robust technical solutions.
- Python: Strong hands-on development experience, including building applications, APIs, automation and data processing solutions.
- Elastic / Elasticsearch: Experience working with Elasticsearch, including data indexing, querying, integration and optimisation.
- Numaflow: Experience with Numaflow or similar technologies for building real-time, event-driven data processing pipelines.
- Microsoft Azure: Experience developing, deploying and supporting cloud-based solutions.
- Dev Ops / Platform Engineering: Understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure automation, deployment processes and cloud-native engineering.
- Security Clearance: Must hold active SC or NPPV3 clearance

- Docker, Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform.
- Event-driven architectures and streaming technologies.
- Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops or similar CI/CD tooling.
- Experience delivering solutions within Government, law enforcement or other secure environments.
