We run a mixed model — co-located in some geographies and distributed in others.
We think that our culture is more about what we value, who we bring on board, and the quality of our work rather than just being stuck in the same office space. But hey, we do enjoy hanging out with each other and we like to encourage our teams to get together every now and then throughout the year.
Our HQ is located in downtown SF, easily accessible by public transit.
New York
Our satellite office in the Big Apple is small, but mighty.
Remote + Hybrid
Enjoy the flexibility and convenience of working from home or wherever you work best.
We look for upside, asking "What can go right?" rather than “What can go wrong?”. We question everything and relentlessly look for the big opportunities to serve our users, impact our mission, and improve ourselves.
We offer health, dental, and vision plans for you and your dependents.
Unlimited PTO
We work hard so it’s important to recharge. Time off is mandated and at least 3+ weeks is encouraged.
We offer retirement plans, including 401(k), for investing in your future.

About the role
As a software engineering intern at Semgrep, you’ll help us build a new category of developer-focused security tools to prevent bugs and security vulnerabilities. You will be joining the team behind the widely used Semgrep . You will get to ship features that make it easier for teams to integrate Semgrep into their existing workflows or build improvements that help our services scale and remain reliable.
Along the way, you will work with a dedicated group of full-stack developers, security researchers, program analysis experts, and infrastructure engineers. You will learn from senior developers who bring experience and wisdom from Google, Facebook, and successful startups. You will work with our clients’ security teams at companies ranging from early-stage startups to social-media giants. You will have opportunities to learn about their individual security philosophies and develop ways to make their lives easier.
You’ll attend lunch and learn sessions across the company - learning about everything from advanced type systems to product paradigms. As a member of our engineering team, you will get to speak directly with real customers who are using the features you build – something that makes interning at an early-stage startup so unique! We’re excited…
