As a Staff Software Engineer, you operate at the intersection of architecture, platform engineering, and team amplification. You set the technical direction for how our products are built, scaled, and evolved. You design systems that are technically sound, resilient, and easy for teams to extend and operate. You make every engineer around you measurably better.

As a Staff Software Engineer with a focus on frontend architecture, you should be deeply comfortable leading frontend and backend design decisions, defining cross-service contracts, and driving platform engineering initiatives that raise the capabilities of every engineer on the team. Our current cloud stack includes ReactJS, Golang, gRPC, Tailwinds, Shadcn, Docker, Kafka, and PostgreSQL, all fully running on the cloud, plus a few more things.

This role is in Scottsdale, AZ, or Calgary, AB and is in-office with 20% flexibility to work from home.

• Your job #1 is to make the software engineering team better through doing, mentoring, and influence. You are a force multiplier, not just a high-output individual contributor. You are a role model.
• Lead architecture decisions across the full stack: from component design and state management to microservice contracts, API design, and cross-system integration patterns.
• Define and evolve our frontend architecture: component systems, rendering strategies, performance at scale, design system governance, and micro-frontend approaches where they apply.
• Drive platform engineering initiatives: shared tooling, DX improvements, CI/CD pipeline design, observability layers, and internal developer platforms that let other engineers ship faster and with greater confidence.
• Actively integrate AI-augmented practices into the SDLC: prompt engineering workflows, AI-assisted code review, generative scaffolding, LLM-powered developer tooling, and AI-native testing patterns. Help the team develop fluency in building with and alongside AI tools.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards: code quality, testing strategy, API design principles, observability, and security patterns. Build the tools and templates so that all other developers will say this is easy. In the next few years, you will scale our products to be top of class, responsive and attractive to delight users.
