Remote Principal Software Architect

• Lead the architectural design and development of the company's core e-learning platform and related services.
• Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and best practices across engineering teams.
• Architect highly scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems using modern technologies (microservices, event-driven architectures, cloud-native).
• Collaborate closely with product management, engineering leads, and stakeholders to translate strategic business goals into technical roadmaps.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to ensure technical excellence.
• Conduct in-depth technical design reviews, code reviews, and performance analysis.
• Mentor and guide senior software engineers and architects, fostering a culture of technical expertise.
• Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and system vulnerabilities.
• Drive innovation and R&D efforts to explore new architectural approaches and solutions.
• Champion security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a principal or lead architect role designing large-scale systems.
• Extensive experience with designing and implementing microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#).
• Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL, No
  
  SQL), caching strategies, and distributed data management.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops practices, and automated testing.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
• Experience in the e-learning or EdTech industry is a significant advantage.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
