Repit is the first rep-based volleyball training app, built to help athletes train anywhere and improve every day — built by athletes, for reps. Our mission is to break the barrier of volleyball training: too many players don’t get enough reps, don’t have access to consistent coaching, and are stuck with training that’s expensive, inaccessible, or inconsistent. Repit exists to fix that for every level of the game, not just elite athletes.

We combine personalized, drill-based lessons tailored to each player’s goals, time, and equipment with gamified progress tracking (reps, streaks, XP) and content led by our Founding Athlete Circle. We work directly with clubs, coaches, and athletes to build training grounded in how the game is actually played.

We’re a launch-phase startup based in the Southern California area, backed by our Founding Team, Founding Athlete Circle and actively fundraising to build out the next phase of the platform. Our team brings deep relationships across the business and volleyball world, from club and college coaching networks to elite athletes and industry connections, giving us a strong foundation to grow Repit with the people who know the game best.

We’re looking for a full stack engineer who’s equally comfortable across the stack and has real experience shipping mobile products. You’ll work directly with our development team to build and scale the core Repit app — from the drill/training engine and gamification systems to club-facing tools and the mobile experience athletes use every day.

This is a startup, and we’re looking for someone who wants real creative and technical freedom — the ability to make this role their own, take ownership over meaningful parts of the product, and grow it into something bigger. We’re not looking for someone who just wants tickets assigned to them.

You’ll work closely with our development team day-to-day, and also directly with co-founders Mason and Trevor on product direction, roadmap, and priorities — this isn’t a role removed from the decision-making.

• Core product features across web and mobile: personalized training/drill engine, gamification (XP, streaks, badges), club subscription tooling
• Mobile app development and performance (React Native or native iOS/Android experience relevant)
• Backend/API work supporting the training engine, content delivery, and club/athlete data model
• Infrastructure collaboration as we migrate toward Railway + Vercel + Cloudflare
• Integration work with auth (Clerk), payments (Stripe), and monitoring (Sentry)
• Direct collaboration with founders and existing technical team (backend/API, data) on architecture and roadmap decisions

• Proven full stack experience — comfortable in both frontend and backend
• Real mobile development experience (React Native strongly preferred; native iOS/Android a plus)
• Experience with React, Node.js, and modern API design
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where priorities shift and scope isn’t always fully defined
• Product sense — you care about the end user experience, not just shipping tickets
• Strong communication and ownership mentality; able to work independently in a remote, small-team setting

• Experience with Firebase-to-modern-stack migrations
• Familiarity with subscription/billing systems (Stripe)
• Sports, fitness, or consumer app background
• Startup experience (pre-seed to Series A stage)
• Volleyball experience, knowledge, or genuine interest in the sport
• Experience working with AI tools/APIs (e.g. AI-assisted development, AI-powered product features like coaching feedback or tracking)
